Taipei, Taiwan: Da’an Forest Park, Din Tai Fung, Taipei Zoo, Taipei 101

I’ve been writing another post on “all the things I learned” about our first international trip as a family of FOUR.  But it seriously sounds like a downer if I don’t first write this post about the ACTUAL trip.

It was great! Great to get out and adventure, great to challenge ourselves and learn about how we travel together, great to just have a change of scenery!

We got a two bedroom apartment through AirBNB in the Da’an district and saw a few of the sites in the city…not nearly as much as we wanted, but we didn’t want to overdo it with the kids.

So here are our pictures of the first two days of our short trip to Taipei (so many shots, I had to separate the posts or it would’ve been ridiculous)! Some are mine and some were taken with Adam’s phone. Enjoy!

DAY 2:

Guess where we went next!

Ate lunch in a little marsupial information house because it was pouring down rain and everywhere else was taken. Kinda gross to be eating (yes, McDonald's) while looking at pictures of Koalas giving birth.

And we stayed there for a LONG time because you know who fell asleep! Hooray and THANK YOU to whoever thought of providing rental strollers at the zoo!!
So these are some of my favorite shots. Little E found a tiny frog while we were eating. It was her favorite part of the whole trip, she still talks about it! Her expressions are just so adorable!

This is a very mild picture, but my kids were literally the main attraction at the zoo. People stopped to take pictures with them. I felt like I was Tom Cruise's mom.

After the zoo, we went back towards the 101 to get some outside pictures of it.

  1. We looved Taipei so much! That park looks amazing and i bet it was super fun visiting the Zoo with kids! My husband apparently had never been to a Zoo (HAHA! ..i know) so it was like being with a big kid 😛 Also, LOVE that picture of Taipei 101 in the fog!

    1. Oh Laura, I’m so glad you loved Taipei! And how hilarious that your hubby had never been to one. I was thinking that it’s rather odd that people find it enjoyable to walk around, looking at caged animals. weird. But our kids sure enjoyed it!
